Is Your Car's A/C Trying to Tell You Something?
Small A/C problems get expensive when they're ignored. If you notice any of these, call or text us before a leak turns into a failed compressor.
π‘οΈBlowing warm air
Usually low refrigerant from a leak, but it can also be a compressor, clutch or electrical problem.
βοΈCold on one side only
Often a sign the system is low on refrigerant, or a blend door isn't directing air correctly.
π¨Weak airflow
Can point to a clogged cabin air filter, a failing blower motor, or a blockage in the system.
πClicking or grinding
Noise when the A/C kicks on can mean a worn compressor or clutch. Catching it early can save the compressor.
πMusty or sweet smell
Musty odors usually mean moisture and mildew in the system. A sweet smell can mean a coolant leak and should be checked soon.

Complete A/C Diagnosis and Repair at Your Location
Plenty of shops will add refrigerant and send you on your way. The problem is that a car's A/C system is sealed, so if it's low, it's leaking. Top it off without fixing the leak and you'll be back in the heat in a few weeks.
We diagnose first. Our fully equipped service van brings the tools to test your system where it's parked, so you get an honest answer about what's wrong and what it will take to fix it.
Leak detection
We leak test the system and trace where refrigerant is escaping before adding any, so you're not paying to recharge a system that will just drain again.
Compressor, clutch & condenser
We inspect the parts that do the heavy lifting and repair failed compressors, compressor clutches and condensers.
Certified refrigerant recharge
EPA Section 609 certified handling and a measured recharge, filled to your vehicle's specification rather than guessed at with a store-bought can.
The Most Common Reasons a Car A/C Stops Cooling
Knowing the likely cause helps you understand your repair estimate. Here's what we see most often.
Refrigerant leaks
Seals, O-rings, hoses and fittings wear out over time. Even a slow leak eventually leaves the system without enough refrigerant to cool.
Compressor or clutch failure
The compressor pressurizes the refrigerant. If it or its clutch fails, the system can't cool at all, and running low on refrigerant makes failure more likely.
Condenser damage or blockage
The condenser sits at the front of the car, where road debris, bugs and corrosion can block airflow or puncture it.
Electrical problems
Blown fuses, bad relays, failed pressure switches and wiring faults can stop the compressor from engaging even when the hardware is fine.

Car A/C Repair FAQs
Straight answers to what drivers ask before booking A/C service.
How much does car A/C repair cost?
It depends on what's causing the problem and on your vehicle. We start by testing the system and finding the leak or failed part, then give you an upfront estimate for the repair. Diagnostic testing is a separate charge from the repair itself, and no repair work begins until you approve the estimate. There are no hidden fees. Because we don't pay rent on a traditional shop, our overhead is lower and those savings are passed on to you. Call or text 937-609-3554 with your year, make and model to get on the schedule.
Can you fix my car's A/C at my home or work?
Yes. We are a mobile mechanic, so we diagnose and repair your A/C in your driveway, apartment lot or workplace parking lot. All we need is a safe, relatively flat spot to park. For major repairs or unsafe weather, we offer pickup and delivery from our offsite repair facility.
Why is my car A/C blowing warm air?
The most common cause is low refrigerant from a leak. Other causes include a failing compressor or compressor clutch, a blocked or damaged condenser, an electrical fault such as a blown fuse or bad relay, or a problem with the blend door that mixes hot and cold air. We test the system to find the actual cause before recommending a repair.
Do I need an A/C recharge or an A/C repair?
An A/C system is sealed, so refrigerant is not used up the way fuel or oil is. If it is low, there is almost always a leak. A recharge alone may cool the car for a while, but the leak will keep draining it. That is why we leak test first, then recommend either a recharge or a repair based on what we find.
Are you certified to handle automotive refrigerant?
Yes. We hold EPA Section 609 certification for motor vehicle refrigerant handling, which federal law requires for anyone servicing vehicle A/C systems for pay. We use a measured recharge rather than guessing from a can.
Is it safe to use a DIY A/C recharge can?
It can do more harm than good. Store cans make it easy to overcharge the system, which can reduce cooling and strain the compressor, and some contain sealers that can clog components and contaminate service equipment. They also do nothing about the leak that caused the problem. A proper leak test and measured recharge costs less than replacing a compressor.
What type of A/C refrigerant do you service?
We service A/C systems that use R-134a refrigerant, which covers most vehicles built before the mid-2010s. We do not service systems that use R-1234yf, the refrigerant found in many newer vehicles. Your vehicle's refrigerant type is usually printed on a label under the hood. If you're not sure, tell us your year, make and model when you call or text and we'll confirm before booking.
How long does an A/C repair take?
It depends on what we find. A leak inspection and recharge is typically handled during the visit. If a part has to be ordered or the job is a major one, we tell you upfront and can schedule the repair or use our pickup and delivery service.
Is your A/C work under warranty?
Yes. All work is backed by our 12-month / 12,000-mile warranty on the parts we supply and the labor we perform.
What areas do you serve for mobile A/C repair?
We are based in Troy, Ohio and serve communities across the Miami Valley, including Troy, Tipp City, Pleasant Hill, Covington, West Milton, New Carlisle, Huber Heights, Vandalia, Fairborn, Beavercreek, Kettering, Centerville, Springboro. Not sure if you're covered? Call or text 937-609-3554 and we will tell you right away.
What forms of payment do you accept?
We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payment is due when the job is complete.
Ready for Cold Air Again?
Tell us what your A/C is doing and we'll get you on the schedule. You approve the repair price before any work begins, and most work is done right in your driveway.
