Hi, I'm John Rankin, the founder and lead technician behind The Car Medic. I started this business because getting a car fixed was a hassle for almost everyone I knew. You had to arrange a tow, find a ride, and then sit in a waiting room or go without a car for days.
So I built The Car Medic on a simple idea: bring the repair shop to the customer. My fully equipped service van comes to your home, your workplace or the parking lot where your car broke down. You stay home or keep working, and your car gets fixed where it's parked.
Being mobile also means you can see the work being done and ask me questions as I go. I'll show you what I found, explain what needs fixing now and tell you what can wait, so you can plan and budget instead of being pressured on the spot.
When you call The Car Medic, you aren't talking to a dispatcher or a service writer. You're talking directly to the mechanic who will be turning the wrenches on your car.

Pickup, Delivery & Fleet Service
Most repairs are finished right where your car is parked. For major repairs or unsafe weather, we pick up your vehicle, complete the work at our offsite repair facility and bring it back to you, so it still gets fixed without you leaving home.
We also keep local businesses moving. We service cars, cargo vans, pickups, box trucks and heavy-duty trucks at your lot, yard or job site, so your vehicles spend less time off the road.

Yes. When you call or text 937-609-3554, you talk directly to John, the technician who will work on your vehicle. There's no call center or service writer in between.
Are you certified and insured?

What are your hours?
We're open Monday through Friday from 10am to 8pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm. We're closed on Sunday.
How do I pay?
We accept cash, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay. Payment is due when the job is complete, unless other arrangements are made ahead of time.
